Celebrating the Artistic Journey and Love Story of Al and Patti Middlemiss

Songbird Artistry is proud to showcase the incredible talents of Al and Patti Middlemiss, two artists whose profound love for each other enriches their creative journey. Both graduates of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Al and Patti have devoted their lives to creating endearing works of art that reflect their passion and dedication, as well as the deep bond they share.

A Love That Inspires

Al and Patti’s love story is as inspiring as their art. Their commitment to each other is poignantly highlighted by their journey to parenthood. They recounted the night they camped out to be put on a waitlist to adopt a child—a testament to their unwavering commitment and love. After a year and a half of waiting, they welcomed their daughter into their lives, enriching their family and inspiring their art. This dedication to family and love is a constant theme in their work and life, showcasing how personal experiences influence their artistic expression.

Artistic Expressions

Al describes himself as a purist, committed to traditional watercolor techniques while also exploring new methods. "I think about art almost all the time, even when I am not creating it." states Al.
